Through his art, Julien shares a philosophy based on the well-being, health and balance that he cultivates on the slackline. His unique style, inspired by its complementary practices of kung fu, yoga and meditation, is distinguished by sustained poses and fluid movements that he performs with precision, strength and flexibility.
Aware of slackline's growing popularity and inspired by the benefits he obtained from his personal practice, Julien founded Slackline Montréal in 2009. That same year, his meeting with slackliner Pierre Carrillo took him to California where he discovered highlining and co-produced the documentary Highlining California with his friend Dhanaé Audet-Beaulieu.
His six-week trip turned out to be an amazing source of inspiration and motivation that guided him through the creation of Slackline Montreal as soon as he returned. Slackline Montreal has introduced thousands of people to the practice of slacklining by offering quality products, services and events. In addition, the meditative and therapeutic approach that Slackline Montreal has encouraged over the years in Quebec continues to influence slackliners around the world.
Slacklining is still growing, and Slackline Montreal is dedicated to helping the practice and the community become stronger and healthier every day. There will always be a lot of work to do. The story continues...
